Elevating Armoured Vehicle Capabilities along NATO’s Eastern Flank

Amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the resulting unstable security environment in the region, many nations in the Eastern flank require fast and efficient solutions to speed up the process of technical modernisation of existing fleets and to fill gaps in armoured capability. Several nations have heightened their defence spending to prioritise acquisition and upgrade initiatives, as the invasion has underscored the critical importance of heavy metal land warfare and exposed the vulnerabilities of outdated technology and methods in the face of anti-tank weapons, that can quickly render armoured vehicles ineffective.

The Armoured Vehicles Eastern Europe 2023 conference will address a range of challenges faced by land force commanders and tactical ground units, including:

  • Requirements procedures and procurement activities
  • Mobility and future force structures
  • Training and simulation
  • Maintenance, repair, overhaul, fleet management, and in-service support
This conference provides an important opportunity for key decision-makers, international partners, operators, and industry experts to come together and exchange valuable knowledge on all aspects of armoured vehicle procurement, deployment, cooperation, and sustainment, as well as key program updates and including requirements and procurement activities, future force structures, training and simulation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, fleet management, in-service support, and first-hand accounts of the operational challenges faced in the Ukraine conflict.
